One of my photographs selected to be in the PhotoPlace Gallery show "Celebrating the Creative Process"
Ansel Adams famously declared, “you don’t take a photograph, you make it.” We make choices each time we press the shutter. The strongest photographers have always been those who understood their choices and could intuit which variables to hold tightly and which to set wandering. This philosophy is central to my approach to photography as an image-maker, curator, and publisher of Don’t Take Pictures.
The above photograph has been chosen to be a part of the "Celebrating the Creative Process" show at Photo Place Gallery in Middlebury , VT. The juror of the Show is Kat Kiernan, fine art photographer, Editor in Chief of Don't Take Pictures magazine, Director of Panopticon Gallery in Boston, MA, and 2015 recipient of the Griffin Museum of Photography's Rising Star Award.
This is the second gallery show I have been included in at PhotoPlace Gallery. Earlier in the year I was selected to be in the show "Portals."
Thanks to James Barker, Owner and Director of PhotoPlace Gallery, and Kat Kiernan for including me in this exciting show. I am in very good company as you will see if you follow the link to the online display of the show.
The show will open December 5, 2017 and run through the 30th. Check it out if you are in the vicinity!
